Undergraduate Education
Through the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW CFEH delivers an undergraduate course covering diseases of the posterior eye to third year optometry and vision science students. This introduction to ocular disease and imaging provides the foundation for disease diagnosis which is built upon by the fourth and fifth year clinical optometry program.
In fifth year, CFEH welcomes all UNSW optometry students to a 6 week rotation at the Centre where they have an opportunity to learn from our experienced clinicians and consolidate their knowledge of ocular disease. Students conduct many of the clinical tests, write patient reports, attend problem-based learning tutorials and particpate in other activities designed to solidify their knowledge before graduating and starting in private practice.
