CFEH Education
CFEH is integrally involved in the education of optometrists and optometry students, specifically in the areas of advanced ocular imaging and the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.
The Centre is involved with under-graduate and post-graduate education through the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW, delivering both theoretical programs of study and clinical placements.
Additionally, CFEH has developed an on-line continuing professional development (CPD) education platform for practicing optometrists to keep them up to date with the latest advances in imaging and ocular disease. This offering is complemented by the periodic offering of face to face workshops.
The Centre has also developed customised intensive educational programs around specific chronic diseases such as glaucoma and diabetes on request.
